New Year Update!

Welcome to 2026 everyone! What a busy year 2025 was, but we made it. Luckily we are not stopping, at least not with Talebones. Instead of an incremental update, we bring you a complete overview of our plans for the coming year and hopefully we didn't forget something major... ^-^'
Packages
In December last year we sent off all packages with English-language content and content without text (i.e. Plushies, Art, and Dice). Hopefully customs did not block any of your deliveries and everyone can hold their very own Talebones rulebooks in their hands already or very soon! If there are any problems with items missing or being damaged, please let us know asap!
VTT integrations
Talebones the (fun) roleplaying system is done, so I (Nicky) have started dusting off my computer science skills and have started implementing the rules into the VTTs you selected and paid for.
Roll20
Roll20s integration of Talebones is nearly done. Afterwards it still needs to get approoved and additional communications with their team have to happen, but cautiously expect the release of the Talebones character sheet within January 2026.
The others
If you didn't choose Roll20 for your integration, please stand by, as I tackle those other VTTs during January. I hope that I can reuse parts of my work for ROll20 for those VTTs, so (currently) I do not see reason why the coding part of the integrations shouldn't conclude within January. I do not have insight in the speed of the approval process on those platforms though, so worst case it could drag out to be released in February or even March. I will update as soon as I get the news.
Tale of the Dungeon Queen
Due to personal matters the author of Tale of the Dungeon Queen (the free addon adventure for every bought book or pdf), Hasfox, wasn't able to finish the writing in December. In return you get 50+ pages of great storytelling and good writing hopefully by mid to end of February, considering possible delays. I hope you can excuse us this sligth delay, I promise the wait will be worth it.
German Translation
After finishing work on the VTTs I expect to get to work on the German translation (of everything) as soon as possible. My current wishful thinking is that I can avoid extensive work in formatting the book and translating, due to the fact that I myself wrote the texts. At the moment I am confident, but I do not dare to underestimate the task before me. You will receive updates nevertheless.

yesterday we handed all packages with either English language items or items that don't require translation to the postage companies!
Hopefully the packages arrive before christmas, and all of you find joy in the products we produced.

Unpreventable Delays (Update)

we come bearing bad news. The crafting the GM Screens and dice has run into unforseen difficulties that we sadly couldn't prevent.
Due to that we have to inform all of you that we will be shipping the packages at the end of November to start of December.
Apologies for the delay, you will be informed as soon as the first packages depart!

A Date for the English Version (Update)

Greetings and spooky vibes to everyone!
We are racing towards everything arriving here with us. THe printing company has estimated that the printed (English) rulebooks will arrive in the last week of October.
Please do grant us some time to get the packages ready but I think we will be able to send out all English language products by mid- to late November. (So the packages should arrive in time for Christmas!)
To be able to send the products, we need everyone to finalize their addresse on Backerkit and pay postage fees.
There is the alternative to pick up items in Bonn, Germany yourselves! If you want to make use of this option, there should be a slection on Backerkit to enable this. If you have already paid or if the selection does not work, contact us under [email protected] and you will be refunded your postage fee after we scheduled a pick up date.
Below you can see the Test print supplied to us.

A finished rulebook (Update)

Hey everyone,
I hope the past month was kind to everyone. We have exciting news to share!
The Talebones rulebook is content complete and layouted! It was quite an effort to get to this point and I want to thank everyone who helped us on this journey so far. The final book will most likely be around 150 pages and will look stunning.
But we also have an admission to make: we aren't sure if we can start shipping the rewards by October. We were caught by some problems in the production timeline, which means that the printing company we chose can start working by the end of next week at the earliest. Their time estimation for their printing has been 6-8 weeks, and that was given at the start of the year (so might have slightly changed by now). Due to that we expect to have the printed books in our hands by mid to end October. So many apologies, but the rewards will most likely be sent out by the start of November. We will of course update, as soon as we have a definitive timeline by the printing company.
